Paris.- The second day of the taxi strike in France caused more than 400 kilometers of traffic jams on the roads of the Paris region this Tuesday, where drivers from all corners of the country are concentrated.
According to the authorities, drivers blocked various highway axes and, in particular, the capital's ring road, where traffic was moving very slowly, slowed down by the presence of hundreds of taxis driving at low speed.
It's what is known in France as "snail operations", which were repeated in several parts of the country causing significant traffic jams.
Taxi drivers are protesting the new rates for transporting hospital patients, which are paid by Social Security, but also against the competition from VTCs, which they consider "unfair".

The strike's follow-up has been increasing and the organizers expect to have greater support tomorrow, with the growing arrival in the Paris region of taxi drivers from other cities in the country.
This Monday, on the first day of mobilization, there were fewer traffic jams, but they concentrated a thousand vehicles, a demonstration that led to clashes with law enforcement and resulted in 64 arrests, when they tried to reach the headquarters of the Government.
