Trump accuses the Chinese regime of trafficking fentanyl through Venezuela to evade US controls

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, assured that the regime of China uses Venezuela as a route to introduce fentanyl into the United States, evading controls at US ports.

"China is trafficking fentanyl through Venezuela to avoid US and Mexico ports. China makes 100 billion dollars trafficking fentanyl into our country. I will talk about this with Xi," the president assured from the White House.

When asked about U.S. military activity in the Caribbean Sea against drug trafficking networks such as the Venezuelan criminal organization Tren de Aragua, Trump emphasized his discontent with the Nicolás Maduro regime. "I am not happy with Venezuela for many reasons," he affirmed. During his press conference, Trump reported that the strategy against drug trafficking is advancing towards a new phase and that "soon" there will be ground operations directed against the cartels.

"There are very few boats operating now, they are coming by land," he pointed out. The president clarified that, if necessary, he will inform Congress about the intervention plans, stating that "I don't imagine they will have a problem with an intervention."
