Washington.- The President of the United States, Donald Trump, and his Argentine counterpart, Javier Milei, will seal their alliance this Tuesday during a visit by the Latin American leader to the White House.
The Argentine's trip to Washington will include a bilateral meeting with Trump in the Oval Office, an image that will close the backing of the US government to Argentina, days after the US gave a hand to the economy of the southern country.
Last week, the United States began buying Argentine pesos to inject dollar liquidity into the Argentine economy and finalized the framework of action for a $20 billion currency swap line with the Argentine Central Bank.
The announcement came after four days of "intensive meetings" with the Argentine Economy Minister, Luis Caputo, in Washington, after the Trump administration stated that they were ready to act in any way necessary to help Argentina meet its debt obligations and shore up its dollar reserves.
