Los Angeles (USA).- The President of the United States, Donald Trump, criticized the NFL for choosing Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny as the main artist at the Super Bowl halftime show, a decision he called "absolutely ridiculous".
"I've never heard of him (...) I don't know who he is, I don't know why they do it. It's crazy. I think it's absolutely ridiculous," the president indicated during his intervention in the program 'Greg Kelly Reports' which was broadcast last night on Newsmax.

The Republican leader expressed his disagreement with some of the NFL's technical rules and added that he would like some to be changed, such as the kickoff (kickoff, in English) that is performed to start the game. "It's ridiculous. It's no safer than the normal kickoff. It looks terrible. I think it really denigrates American football," he asserted. The choice of Bad Bunny to perform as the headliner at the Super Bowl on February 7th in Santa Clara, in the state of California (USA), has generated a wave of criticism among Republican ranks, who criticize that his music is in Spanish. Shortly after the NFL announced the Puerto Rican for its biggest event, one of the advisors to the Department of Homeland Security, Corey Lewandowski, warned that the U.S. Government will deploy Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents while the show is taking place. However, the White House specified days later that there were no plans for immigration raids at Bad Bunny's Super Bowl at the moment. Last Saturday, the musician responded to the criticism generated by his presence in one of the most popular and televised shows in the world in his monologue as a guest artist on the program Saturday Night Live (SNL), in which he spoke mostly in English. "If you haven't understood what I just said, you have four months to learn (Spanish)," sentenced the artist, who also starred in several comedic scenes, such as an adaptation of the famous Mexican children's series 'El Chavo del Ocho'.
