Honduras.-The Honduran health system adds a new strengthening effort with the inauguration of a modern emergency room at the
Roberto Suazo Córdova Hospital, in the municipality of
La Paz. The work, executed with funds from the
United States Embassy in Honduras, represents an investment of more than
USD 1.9 million (more than
50 million lempiras) and is part of the bilateral cooperation aimed at improving the medical response capacity in the country.
The new infrastructure expands the hospital’s operational capacity and responds to a historical need: to alleviate the pressure on one of the most important healthcare centers in the central region.
