Washington.- Tyler Robinson, the accused of murdering the conservative activist Charlie Kirk, is a 22-year-old resident of the state of Utah who was not enrolled in the university where the crime occurred and who had recently become politicized.
Robinson was arrested more than 30 hours after he shot Kirk in the neck, a close ally of U.S. President Donald Trump, while debating in front of about 3,000 people on the campus of Utah Valley University, in the town of Orem.
After Trump announced that the suspect had been arrested in a morning interview on Fox News, several media outlets leaked his name. Shortly after, social media was flooded with photos of him at different stages of his life.
Among others, of Robinson with his family traveling, at the university, dressed in a Trump costume on Halloween and in many of them of him holding a weapon since he was a child, which demonstrate that he had been in contact with weapons from a very young age.

Unaffiliated but recently politicized
His family was registered as Republican, however, he had no registered political affiliation and had not voted in the last elections, according to data from this summer. According to the authorities, his family stated that he had "become politicized" recently and that a few days before the incident he had mentioned Kirk and criticized some of his arguments.Trump claimed it was his father, however, neither local authorities nor the FBI confirmed the relationship with the young man.
