Zandvoort, Netherlands.- The first day of activity of the Dutch Grand Prix was marked by incidents, red flags and weather changes, but the Argentinian Franco Colapinto starred in an outstanding performance that excites the fans. The Alpine driver completed 52 laps between the two free practice sessions and placed ninth in FP2, recording his best result in practice since his arrival in Formula 1.

In the first session (FP1), Colapinto finished 18° with a time of 1:12.276, being 0.663 seconds behind his teammate Pierre Gasly. However, the Argentinian showed a notable improvement in the second practice (FP2), where he set a lap of 1:10.957, which left him 1.067 seconds behind the leader Lando Norris and ahead of Gasly by 1.165 seconds. The fastest of the day was Lando Norris with a time of 1:09.890, closely followed by Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin, 1:09.977) and Oscar Piastri (McLaren, 1:09.979). The day, however, was plagued by incidents, including serious accidents involving Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Lance Stroll, as well as mistakes by several drivers such as Alex Albon and Lewis Hamilton. The action will continue this Saturday, August 30 with the third free practice starting at 6:30 a.m. (Argentina time). Later, at 10:00 a.m., the qualifying will be held, which will define the starting grid for Sunday's race, scheduled for 72 laps.
