Yas Marina (Abu Dhabi).- British driver Lando Norris (McLaren), leader of the Formula One World Championship, once again made his mark this Friday by achieving the best time in the second free practice session of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the last race of the season. Norris once again surpassed his main rival for the title, the Dutch Max Verstappen (Red Bull), four-time world champion and second in the general classification just twelve points behind.

In his fastest lap, Norris completed the
5,281 meters of the Yas Marina circuit in 1:23.083, surpassing Verstappen by
363 thousandths. The Englishman
George Russell (Mercedes) closed the top three with a time of
379 thousandths behind the leader, all of them running on soft tires.
Australian
Oscar Piastri (McLaren), third in the fight for the championship and still with mathematical options for the title, finished the session in
eleventh position,
680 thousandths of a second behind his teammate. Piastri did not participate in the first free session, but returned to the track in the second session to prepare his setup for the decisive weekend.
With times so tight and the title still at stake between the two McLaren drivers and the outgoing champion, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix promises a
decisive qualifying and a
final race full of tension this Sunday.
