Águilas Cibaeñas defeat Leones and achieve their 25th victory of the season

SANTIAGO.– Las Águilas Cibaeñas continuaron su paso dominante en la temporada al derrotar 4-1 a los Leones del Escogido la noche de este jueves en el Estadio Cibao, llegando así a 25 victorias, exactamente la mitad del calendario regular.

The team led by Pipe Urueta remains firm at the top with a record of 25-8, including 13-3 at home and 12-5 on the road, in addition to dominating the particular series against the Leones 3-1. The Eagles connected eight hits, all singles, but managed to capitalize on their opportunities to score four runs.

Solid Pitching and Effective Relief

The win went to Brady Feigl (1-0), while Darío Agrazal (0-1) took the loss. The save went to Burch Smith (2). The Eagles started with Huáscar Ynoa, who pitched 3.0 scoreless innings, allowed only one hit, gave one base and struck out three. Then came the relievers Jhordany Mézquita, Jean Carlos Henríquez, Feigl, Richard Rodríguez and Smith, who completed a night of mound dominance.
