The right-hander once again showed his best version and added his second victory of the season, by working impeccably for six innings in which he allowed only three hits, struck out five and gave no walks. Abreu (2-4) completely limited the Francomacorisana offense to guide the second consecutive win of the blues against the Giants in the capital. The loss fell on Steve Moyers (0-1), who allowed the only run of the game in five innings, in which he gave up two hits, gave a walk and struck out four. The blue bullpen took care of the rest: Misael Tamárez pitched the seventh, Anderson Severino worked the eighth, and Jean Carlos Mejía closed the ninth without difficulty to earn the save. The only run of the game came in the bottom of the fifth inning, when a wild pitch allowed Mel Rojas Jr. to score from third base. With the triumph, the Tigres (18-21) take sole possession of the third position, surpassing precisely the Gigantes (17-22) by one game. For the Giants, Samad Taylor, Nomar Mazara, and Pablo Reyes connected the team's three hits.
For the Licey, Gustavo Núñez, Armando Álvarez, Mel Rojas Jr., Francisco Mejía, and David Hensley recorded a hit.
