The leader pointed out that he will not focus his analysis on the party's latest launch, but on the team's collective work throughout the competition. "I'm not going to focus on that last pitch. I'm super proud of my guys and the work they did. I give all the credit to the United States," he said after the match held at loanDepot Park in Miami. He also highlighted the commitment of several players who proudly represented the Dominican colors, including catcher Austin Wells, who was part of the team despite not being born in the country. "I am very proud of Austin Wells, who, despite not being born in the Dominican Republic, honorably represented our country," he stated. The leader also valued the performance of the pitching staff, highlighting in particular the work of starting pitcher Luis Severino, who fulfilled the plan set for the game. "**Our pitching was up to the task. My respect for Luis Severino, he pitched exactly as we had planned**", he added. For the Dominican strategist, managing in the World Baseball Classic was one of the most significant experiences of his career. “For me, this has been the best experience I've had in my career. I thank God for allowing me to be at the forefront of this tremendous talent that our country has”, he pointed out. He also acknowledged that baseball is a sport in which the results do not always reflect the effort put in. “I don't think anything failed. Things just didn't work out and that's the game. Today wasn't our day”, he stated. The leader also thanked the Dominican people for their support during the tournament and sent a message of pride to the fans after the elimination. “I know that at this moment there are many sad Dominicans, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support and unity of the country. We lost, but we leave with our heads held high and proud of what we did”, he expressed. At the end of the match, the team gathered to pray and reflect on the experience in the tournament. "The first thing we did was pray and tell the guys to be proud of what they did, to return with their heads held high to their training grounds," he explained. Finally, the leader assured that he will remain available to represent the country in future international competitions, including the Olympic Games. “I will always be available to represent my homeland. I can only say thank you and may God bless the Dominican Republic”, he concluded.
