During his pre-commitment statements, Sánchez assured that he arrives in good physical condition to assume responsibility from the mound. "The velocity is there, the health is there, thank God. We have a game plan for tomorrow," expressed the Dominican pitcher referring to his preparation for the important duel. Sánchez also explained that it will be the first time he faces the South Korean team, so the main focus will be on executing the strategy designed by the coaching staff. "They are different teams and I have never faced them. The idea is to attack with my strengths, work the plan with the catcher and the pitching coach, and execute it. That's the point," he pointed out. The Dominican opener emphasized that the key will be to maintain concentration and follow the plan established from the first pitch. The selection of Dominican Republic reaches this stage of the tournament after completing a solid group stage, while South Korea will seek to advance to the semifinals in a duel that promises great intensity on the diamond.
