Encarnación had previously arrived at the Escogido from the Águilas Cibaeñas in a trade that involved outfielder Jasson Domínguez.

During the past season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), Encarnación participated in 14 regular season games with the Águilas, where he recorded a batting average of .269 with two home runs and 11 RBIs. In the Round Robin he saw action in 17 games, in which he batted .238, with one home run and seven RBIs.

The 28-year-old player has four seasons in the Dominican league, all with the Águilas, totaling 107 regular season games. In that period, he hit 12 home runs and drove in 64 runs, with a batting average of .283, an on-base percentage of .362, and an OPS of .810. In the Major Leagues, Encarnación has played three seasons: one with the Miami Marlins in 2022 and two with the San Francisco Giants in 2024 and 2025. In 77 games and 256 plate appearances in the Majors, the outfielder has 10 home runs and 40 RBIs, with a batting average of .216. With this acquisition, the Stars seek to reinforce their offense, especially in the power department, for the upcoming season of the Dominican league.
