Eugenio Suárez, who stole the spotlight with historic home runs in different scenarios.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. achieved an unprecedented feat by hitting a home run against a
103.9 mph pitch from the newly acquired Padres reliever,
Mason Miller. With the two-run homer in the eighth inning, Gurriel tied the game 5-5 at
Chase Field, making that pitch the
fastest ever hit for a home run since Statcast began tracking data in 2008. The ball shot off the bat at 107.1 mph and traveled
439 feet.
Pitcher Miller, who arrived to the Padres from the Athletics at the recent Trade Deadline, recorded fastballs up to
104.2 mph, the fastest in the history of the San Diego franchise.
In parallel,
Eugenio Suárez thrilled fans in Seattle with a triumphant return. The Venezuelan third baseman hit his
first home run since his return to the Mariners, leading his team to an 8-3 victory over the White Sox. The two-run hit in the fourth inning was an emotional reunion with the fans, who celebrated Suárez’s characteristic “trident” gesture, a symbol of his previous time with the club.
“As if he had never left,” narrated announcer Aaron Goldsmith, as Suárez rounded the bases after his 37th home run of the season.
Seattle’s offense showed depth with other standouts like
Josh Naylor, who also hit a two-run home run, and
Jorge Polanco, who contributed a two-run single. On the mound,
Bryan Woo shone with a gem of
nine strikeouts in seven innings, lowering his ERA to 3.02.
With this victory, the
