Francisco “K-Rod” Rodríguez will be inducted into the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame

Punta Cana- The Latin Baseball Hall of Fame announced the induction of Venezuelan pitcher Francisco “K-Rod” Rodríguez as a member of the Class of 2025, in recognition of an exemplary career that established him as one of the best closers in baseball history.

With a total of 437 saves in Major League Baseball (MLB), Rodríguez ranks fourth all-time in that category, solidifying his name among the greats on the mound. Throughout 16 seasons in the Majors, his ability to dominate in high-pressure situations led him to be a six-time All-Star, two-time American League saves leader, and to win a World Series title in 2002 with the Anaheim Angels, when he was just taking his first steps as a professional. One of the most outstanding milestones of his career came in 2008, when he set a historic record of 62 saves in a single season, a mark that has not yet been surpassed. Rodríguez played with the Anaheim Angels, New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, Baltimore Orioles, and Detroit Tigers, leaving an indelible mark on each organization thanks to his work ethic, competitive spirit, and dominance on the mound. Beyond his brilliant career in MLB, the Venezuelan right-hander proudly represented his country in various editions of the World Baseball Classic, reaffirming his commitment to his roots and his place as a symbol of Latin baseball globally. The exaltation ceremony will take place at the end of this year, and Francisco Rodríguez will share this honor with other great baseball figures such as Miguel Tejada, Julio César Franco, Bartolo Colón and Adrián González, forming one of the most memorable classes in the history of the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame.
