According to Stearns, there is a possibility that the torpedo hitter will need surgical intervention, which would imply an approximate recovery period of six weeks out of action. However, the executive noted that, even if Lindor undergoes surgery, he would have options to be ready for Opening Day, scheduled for March 26, when the Mets face the Pittsburgh Pirates. The New York organization is awaiting the final results to define the player's medical plan, a key piece both defensively and in the team's offensive lineup.
