With the victory, the Giants improve their record to 17-19, solidifying themselves in third place, while the Stars fall to 16-22, in fifth place.

Early power and constant reaction

The Giants had home runs from Deyvison de los Santos, who hit a two-run homer, and from Nomar Mazara, both key to keeping the Cibao offense active throughout the game. The Estrellas started aggressively, taking a 2-0 lead in the first inning and extending it with a home run by Mazara in the third. However, the Gigantes responded quickly with a two-run homer by De los Santos, reducing the deficit to 6-3.

A three-run rally in the sixth inning allowed the Cibaeños to tie the game 6-6. Then, a single by Carlos Peguero, as a pinch hitter, drove in the run that put the Giants ahead 7-6 in the seventh.

Stars Tie, But Don't Score

The Greens struck back in the eighth inning. A sacrifice fly by Miguel Sanó brought in the tying run 7-7, but they couldn't score the winning run despite having a runner on third with one out.

The tenth episode: decisive lack of control

In extra innings, Luis García Jr. started on second base as the automatic runner. After one out, a wild pitch by Weigel moved him to third, and another passed ball allowed the run that decided the game. In the bottom, Reymin Guduán took the ball with Robinson Canó as a ghost runner. A line drive by Josh Lester to center field resulted in a double play after review, and then Jorge Mateo was dominated by the third baseman to end the game.
