San Francisco de Macorís. – The Gigantes del Cibao announced the signing of starting pitcher Jake Faria, who will be one of their imports for the upcoming season of the Dominican Professional Winter Baseball League (LIDOM). More recently, he reinforced in the Mexican Baseball League with the Guerreros de Oaxaca, gaining experience in different international circuits, where he had a 3-4 record in 13 games as a starter.

We are confident that he will bring leadership and depth to our pitching staff, being an important piece in our aspirations for next season.” With this hiring, the Gigantes del Cibao reaffirm their commitment to present a competitive and high-level team for the Cibao fanbase. Faria becomes the Giants’ sixth import for next season, joining pitchers Chris Ellis, Caleb Smith, Reid Birlingmair, Scott Engler, and Daniel Mengden. The team is preparing to start its training sessions next Monday, September 22, at the facilities of the Julián Javier stadium in San Francisco in the morning.
