The game between the Tigres del Licey and the Gigantes del Cibao, which was scheduled to be held at the Julián Javier Stadium in San Francisco de Macorís, was postponed due to persistent rains that have left the playing field in conditions not suitable for the development of the game. Similarly, the match between the Estrellas Orientales and the Leones del Escogido, scheduled at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium, was also suspended for the same reason. The celebration of the match, which had the inaugural act of the "melenudos" as the home team beforehand, was canceled at 8:34 p.m. The ceremony that was scheduled for this Thursday will be held on Saturday, October 18th, when the Scarlet team receives the Licey Tigers at 4:00 in the afternoon. LIDOM announced that the new rescheduling dates for both matches will be announced in due course, once the schedules are coordinated with the teams involved.
