San Francisco de Macorís. – Los Gigantes del Cibao continue to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), with the incorporation of five new players who joined the training sessions at the Julián Javier stadium under the direction of manager José Leger.

The new integrations include Nomar Mazara, Helcris Olivarez, Eddinson Paulino, Frank Rodríguez, and Emil Morales, who join the group in full preparation for the start of the championship.New Giants in the Camp
Eddinson Paulino (INF, 23 years old)Native of Santiago, Paulino belongs to the Toronto Blue Jays organization, where this year he participated at the Double-A level. With his defensive versatility and offensive contact, he adds depth to the Giants' infield. Helcris Olivarez (LZ, 25 years old)
Left-handed pitcher born in San Francisco de Macorís, member of the San Francisco Giants. In 2025 he had an outstanding performance between Double-A and Triple-A, recording an ERA of 3.65, with 46 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.62 in 37 innings pitched. Frank Junior Rodríguez (C, 24 years old)
Catcher from Santiago belonging to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Last season he averaged .218, with 3 home runs and 18 RBIs in 179 at-bats, standing out for his defense and ability to handle young pitchers. Emil Morales (SS, 19 years old)
First pick of the 2025 Rookie Draft of the Gigantes del Cibao. Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, but with roots in Santiago, Morales is considered one of the top Dominican prospects in international baseball.
In 2025 he had an outstanding season between the Rookie and Class A leagues, with a .314 average, 14 home runs, 70 RBIs, 11 stolen bases and an OPS of .911. He currently ranks as the MLB's number 100 prospect and number 7 in the Dodgers organization. Nomar Mazara (OF, 30 years old)
Veteran outfielder from the capital with seven seasons of experience in Major Leagues (Texas, Chicago White Sox, Detroit and San Diego). In 2025 he played with the Águilas de Veracruz (LMB), where he recorded a .275 average, with 3 home runs and 19 RBIs in 40 games. His experience will be key in the offensive lineup of the Cibao team.
