Tejada's selection came as a result of the votes cast by the Circle of Sports Announcers and the International Committee for the Exaltation of the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame, recognizing his brilliant career, his impact on the game and his legacy as one of the most consistent shortstops in the history of Major League Baseball. Miguel Tejada played for 16 seasons in MLB, accumulating more than 2,400 hits, more than 300 home runs, and more than 1,300 RBIs. He was the American League MVP in 2002, a six-time All-Star, and a two-time Silver Slugger winner. His leadership, discipline, and passion for the game left an indelible mark on both his teams and the Latin fans. "His exaltation represents the eternal recognition of a player who proudly represented the Dominican Republic and all of Latin America," expressed Robinson Paredes, Executive Director of the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame. The official induction ceremony will be held at the end of this year at an international gala, the details of which will be announced soon. It will pay tribute to Tejada's career and legacy along with the other inducted members of the Class of 2025.
