Santo Domingo.- Jomar Reyes drove in three runs, Kevin Lolo Sánchez and Imanol Vargas drove in two each to lead the Mineros de Bonao to win the title of the National Summer Baseball League 2025, after defeating the Atléticos de Puerto Plata 11 runs to 5 in the fifth and decisive game.
The Miners gave their fans the pleasure of winning at home, at the Bebecito del Villar Stadium. The League is organized by the Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) and the 2025 championship was dedicated to the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza.
Reyes was selected the Most Valuable Player of the final. Wilber Pérez delivered an extraordinary pitching performance to shut down the Atléticos for five innings, allowing only one run, three walks, and nine strikeouts, while receiving offensive support from his team, which started at a disadvantage in the decisive fifth game of the final.
