Red Sox and Blue Jays show interest in Ketel Marte

According to MLB Network analyst, Jon Heyman, several teams have shown strong interest in acquiring the 32-year-old player. Among them are the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners, Tampa Bay Rays, and possibly the Philadelphia Phillies. In addition to Marte, another second baseman generating interest in the trade market is Brandon Lowe, from the Rays. According to Jon Paul Morosi of MLB Network, the possibility of Tampa Bay moving him has increased during the Winter Meetings. The Rays recently exercised the club option for US$11.5 million for 2026, and Lowe will be a free agent at the end of that campaign.
