The measure was adopted in response to the recommendations of the meteorological and emergency authorities, as well as due to the current conditions of the stadiums, after the league delegates confirmed that several playing fields are not suitable for the celebration of the matches. According to reports from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Melissa could become a hurricane between the night of this Friday and Saturday, increasing the risk of heavy rains, wind gusts, and possible flooding. The suspended day included the following matchups:- Gigantes del Cibao vs. Toros del Este, at Julián Javier Stadium in San Francisco de Macorís (7:00 p.m.)
- Leones del Escogido vs. Águilas Cibaeñas, at Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium in Santo Domingo (7:15 p.m.)
