SANTO DOMINGO.- The national and Caribbean champions, Leones del Escogido, hired right-handed pitcher Tyler Danish, according to general manager Carlos Peña.

Danish, 31 years old, pitched during the summer with the Olmecas de Tabasco in the Mexican Baseball League, where he had a 4-3 record, a 3.53 ERA, and 39 strikeouts in 91.2 innings. In 2024, he also participated with Tabasco, with 13.2 innings of 13 strikeouts, 0.80 WHIP, 1.32 ERA, and a .128 average allowed to the opposition. The Brandon, Florida native has experience in the Major Leagues, having worked with the Chicago White Sox from 2016 to 2018, as well as the Boston Red Sox in 2022. In the "big show" he combined a 5-1 record and 43 strikeouts in 53.1 innings. "The incorporation of Danish comes at a crucial moment for us.
