Vladimir Guerrero travels to Toronto to support his son in the World Series

Santo Domingo. – Cooperstown Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero left for Toronto to accompany his son, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who will play his first World Series with the Toronto Blue Jays, in a historic edition of the Fall Classic that begins this Friday at the Rogers Centre in Canada.

The Dominican former player traveled with his publicist Virgilio Rojo and his family to witness the first games of the series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. “I am going to support my son Vlady Jr. in his quest for the World Series crown… what a pride!”, Guerrero expressed before his departure, highlighting his excitement to see his son compete for the maximum title of Major League Baseball. Guerrero, who also played in Canada during his time with the now-defunct Montreal Expos, stated that he felt especially connected to the country that is now the setting for this new chapter in the family's history. “For Toronto on Arajet, which is the Dominican line”, he added with humor and pride. The 2025 World Series will feature a significant Dominican presence, with three players from the country involved: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Seranthony Domínguez for the Blue Jays, in addition to Teoscar Hernández defending the colors of the Dodgers. The clash between Blue Jays and Dodgers promises to be one of the most intriguing World Series in recent years, marked by young talent, established figures, and great international expectation.
