SANTO DOMINGO. Bameso club set its course towards qualification by defeating Los Prados this Sunday, 80-70, in the first game of the double header that continued the regular season of the TBS Distrito 2025.

The match was held at the Ricardo -Gioriver- Arias Volleyball Palace of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, on the last day of the intergroup matches.
The Bamesians improved their record to 4-3 by stopping a two-game losing streak, 1.0 game behind the leader of group B, the San Lázaro club, which has 5-2, while the Pradense record 3-4, in group A.
Bameso took advantage of the offensive power of its new reinforcement, the American Quentin Peterson, who presented credentials with 26 points, supported by Miguel Simón (Muñeco) with a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds, Luis Reynoso contributed 11 units.
By Los Prados, Jean Carlos Pérez led them with 15 points and six rebounds, the Puerto Rican reinforcement Ángel Matias scored 14 more points plus six ball captures, the American reinforcement BJ Fiztgerald scored 14 units with seven catches and William Cruz 10.
Each group A and B grants three spots to the Elimination Phase, and they carry over their same record obtained in the regular round.
The TBS District 2025 is organized by the National District Basketball Association (Abadina), chaired by Colonel (PN) Diego Pesqueira, and the Organizing Committee is headed by José Ignacio Paliza, Minister of the Presidency.
This year's event is dedicated to the Dominican Sports Immortal Evaristo Pérez, former member of the national basketball team and former player of the San Carlos squad.
