SANTO DOMINGO. Jean Montero, a young point guard of just 20 years old, has been chosen as a member of the Best Quintet of the Endesa League 2024-2025, solidifying himself as one of the great emerging figures of European basketball.

The Association of Basketball Clubs (ACB) announced this Tuesday the select list that recognizes the most outstanding players of the season in the Spanish league, one of the most competitive in the world. Along with Montero, veteran Marcelinho Huertas (Lenovo Tenerife), the Croatians Mario Hezonja (Real Madrid) and Ante Tomic, and the American Derrick Alston Jr. were selected.
Montero, who had already been awarded three times as the Best Young Player of the competition, debuts in the ideal quintet after a dazzling season. He finished the championship as the second most valuable player, with an average of 19.2 credits per game, standing out for his vision of the game, scoring ability and leadership on the court.
The Dominican point guard continues to write his name in golden letters in international basketball, demonstrating that Caribbean talent has a place and prominence on the most demanding stages. His inclusion in the Best Quintet not only highlights his individual growth, but also positions the Dominican Republic as a growing source of elite talent.
