SANTO DOMINGO, DR.- The Mauricio Báez and San Carlos clubs won this Sunday in the continuation of the regular season of the 40th Women’s Superior Basketball Tournament (TBSF Distrito 2026), at the Ensanche Luperón club sports center.

Mauricio easily doubled La Ciénaga, 77-50, with the offense of Fátima Marte, who scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Rudelfy De Jesús achieved a double-double of 12 points plus 13 rebounds, and Cesarina Capellán reached 10 digits, nine catches, and six rebounds.
For the fallen, Yaliandra Romero scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Katherine Abreu 11.
For its part, the San Carlos club extended its undefeated streak to 3-0 with the victory achieved over San Lázaro, once again counting on the offense of Jennifer Jiménez and Melissa Cabral.
Jiménez led the offense with 24 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while Cabral added 21 points with four rebounds, Anais Villanueva stood out with 12 units and dominated the boards with 26 rebounds, and Yadira Marte had nine more with nine rebounds.
For the defeated team, Laura Díaz scored 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists, Paola Maldonado 15 points and grabbed five balls, Dallyshya Moreno 13 and Yohangelis Guzmán 12.
San Carlos leads the standings with a 3-0 record, followed by La Ciénaga (1-2), Mauricio Báez (1-1), and San Lázaro (0-2), in contention for the Seaboard “Clean Energy” Cup.
The contest is dedicated to Doña Milagros Ortiz Bosch, former Vice President of the Republic and currently the General Director of the General Directorate of Ethics and Government Integrity (DIGEIG), as well as advisor to the Executive Branch on Ethics, Transparency and Anti-Corruption.
The TBSF District 2026 is organized by the National District Basketball Association (Abadina), presided over by Edwin Castillo (Tatico), in conjunction with congresswoman Melina Sánchez, who is the president of the Organizing Committee, and Carlos Gerónimo is the technical director.
Tuesday matches
The TBSF District 2026 returns to action this Tuesday with a first game between the Mauricio Báez and San Carlos teams, at 6:00 in the evening, and at 7:30 at night, the San Lázaro and La Ciénaga squads will face off at the Ensanche Luperón club sports center.
