SANTO DOMINGO, RD.- The Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, in his capacity as president of the Organizing Committee of the Superior Basketball Tournament of the National District (TBS Distrito 2025), led a working meeting this Thursday to follow up on the development of the sporting event, which began on September 20th.

During the meeting, held in Minister Paliza's office, the president of the Basketball Association of the National District (Abadina), Diego Pesqueira; the TBS District 2025 Commissioner, Nelson Ramírez; and the treasurer of Abadina, Milton Díaz, participated.
The representatives of the organizing entity presented a detailed report on various aspects of the tournament, including logistics, inter-institutional coordination, promotion, and competitive structure.
Likewise, follow-up was given to the complementary activities that are part of the TBS District 2025 calendar, including the celebration of the "Evaristo Pérez Day", dedicated to honoring the career of this emblematic figure of Dominican basketball.
Minister Paliza reaffirmed his commitment to continue supporting this event, considered one of the most important sporting platforms in the country, for its impact on youth and the development of capital basketball.

The Organizing Committee and Abadina announced that next Tuesday, the 14th of this month, a recognition will be given to the Immortal of Sport Evaristo Pérez, for the dedication to the TBS District 2025 contest and his extensive career as a basketball player.
That act will be led by Paliza and Pesqueira, along with the directors of Abadina.
