SANTO DOMINGO.– The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, highlighted this Monday the presence of the star basketball player Karl-Anthony Towns at the All-Star Weekend of the National Basketball Association, held this weekend in Inglewood, Los Angeles, United States.

Through his account on the social network X, the president expressed his pride in the player's participation, stating: "Another one of ours conquering foreign beaches", alluding to the international impact of the pivot of Dominican descent. Towns was selected as a reserve for the Eastern Conference for the 2026 All-Star Game, an event that took place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. His selection reaffirms his status as one of the most consistent figures in the league.
