The match was held at the Ricardo -Gioriver- Arias Volleyball Palace of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.
The Lazareños were leading 71-69 when in a Bamesian offensive with 6:1 seconds left in the game, after several dribbling moves, the North American reinforcement Quentin Peterson rose up in a shot from the three-point arc and received a personal foul from Randy Bautista to go to the free throw line with three attempts at the basket to execute, which if he had scored could have meant the victory of Bameso with 1:1 seconds left in the game, but he missed all three shots.
By winning against the Jovo Bonito team, Bameso solidified its position in first place in group B with a record of 6-2, and is up by 2.0 games on Bameso and Rafael Barias, who are tied for second place with a 4-4 record, although these three teams already have their active pass for the Elimination Phase, which left out El Millón, which has a record of 1-7.
In the other group, Group A, the San Carlos club is the first to qualify with the best record of the tournament, 6-2, while Mauricio Báez is tied with 4-4 in second position with Los Prados, and Huellas del Siglo (3-5), are vying for the remaining two spots.
Each group, A and B, grants three spots to the Elimination Phase, and they carry over their same record obtained in the regular season.
Ángel Núñez was the most outstanding in the offense with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds, the Santiago reinforcement Victor Liz had 12 points plus eight captured balls, AJ Bramah 12 and Edgar Tejeda contributed 10.
By Bameso, Peterson scored 26 points, Jean Carlos Quezada 13 units with six rebounds and Miguel Simón added 10 plus nine balls caught.
