TBS District 2025 will sell tickets and passes 100% digitally

SANTO DOMINGO. The Basketball Association of the National District (Abadina), in strategic alliance with the company Uepa Tickets, announced that ticketing and season tickets for the celebration of the 49th Superior Basketball Tournament (TBS Distrito 2025) will be available for sale to fans in a completely digital manner. With this move, Abadina and the Organizing Committee of TBS Distrito 2025 mark a before and after in the organization of sporting events in the Dominican Republic.

The information was offered jointly by Diego Pesqueira, president of Abadina; Nelson Ramírez, commissioner of TBS Distrito 2025; and Gabriel Almas, general director of Uepa Tickets, during a press conference held this Thursday in the offices of this company dedicated to the online sale of tickets. Also present were delegates Milton Díaz, from the San Lázaro club; Ramón Gonzalez and Claudio Mendez, from Huellas; Pedro Lara, from Bameso; Jefry Mercedes, from El Millón; Johnny Peguero, from San Carlos; and Miguel Merejo, from the Rafael Barias club. In this way, fans will be able to purchase their tickets through the digital platform, receive them on their mobile phones and present them directly at the entrance to the official venue of the superior district basketball championship, Palacio del Voleibol Ricardo Gioriber Arias, where they will be scanned by specialized personnel from Abadina and the company Uepa Tickets. With this measure, long lines, the handling of physical ticketing are eliminated and the black market is avoided, guaranteeing a more comfortable, safe and transparent experience for the public, in the contest that will be dedicated to the Immortal of Sport Evaristo Pérez. Tickets for the regular round and elimination phase will cost 300 pesos per day, while season tickets for both phases will cost 5,000 pesos. The seats in the VIP area will cost RD$1,500 per date and season tickets will be RD$25,000. These prices do not include ticketing service charge. It was announced that season tickets will have a 20% discount during the first three days of sales, which begin this coming Monday. La Abadina also informed that no courtesy accreditations will be issued in any of the phases of the event. For those who have any difficulty, Uepa Tickets will have a customer service module at the entrance of the Volleyball Palace during the matches where digital tickets can also be purchased. “This is a historic step for Dominican sports. For the first time a tournament adopts a 100% digital ticketing and season ticket system, which makes it easier for the fan to buy their tickets from anywhere, pay with a card and access with their mobile, without complications,” said the organizers. The 2025 National District Superior Basketball Tournament will start next Saturday, September 20th with an opening match in New Jersey, where the defending champion, the Mauricio Báez club, and the runner-up of the Bameso club, both finalists of 2024, will face each other.
