ASUNCIÓN, PARAGUAY. The Brazilian women's national team qualified for the final of the volleyball tournament of the II Junior Pan American Games by defeating the Dominican Republic 3-0 this Thursday, with partial scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 25-13.
Swimming closes participation In the closing of the Dominican participation in swimming, Elizabeth Jiménez took fifth place in her series of the 200-meter individual medley (2:23.53). The men's 4x100 medley relay, composed of Anthony Piñeiro, Pablo Solano, Javier Núñez and Cristian Ramos, was also fifth, with a time of 3:48.58.

The Brazilians, who had already defeated the Dominicans in the group stage, will face the winner of the semifinal between Argentina and Mexico for the gold. Men's 3x3 Basketball – The team composed of Dolfy Arias, Juan de los Santos Pérez, Rinelson Diloné Toribio and Ángel Puello will debut on the opening day.
