Dominican Republic (2-1) will face Brazil's team next Sunday, the 31st, at a time to be confirmed, in the second round, when the regular season concludes. The winners' attack was led by Wu M.J, with 15 points, followed by Zhuang Y.S, with 15 units. In the game statistics, in attack, China dominated 43-32 and in blocks 13-6. For the Dominicans, Brayelin Martínez was the best with 15 points, while Massiel Matos contributed seven points. Gaila González and Yonkaira Peña had a low offensive performance. China (3-0), ranked number four in the world, now has a 3-0 record and the Dominican Republic, number nine in the world ranking, has a 2-1 record. In the first set, China presented a fierce defense, a solid and consistent attack, in addition to putting a lot of pressure with a strong serve. The Dominicans faced some problems in articulating their offense and when passing the ball, the Chinese counterattack came from all angles of the court, which proved lethal. In addition to a block that did a lot of damage to the Queens of the Caribbean, who have the support of the Ministry of Sports and Farmacias GBC. A key aspect was that China went on a point rally that began when the match was tied at 10, and from there, they launched attacks that put the score at 16-10. Then they made another 4-0 rally that helped them finish off the Caribbean team. Coach Marcos Kweik made player changes looking for a reaction, but he didn't get it. In the second set, the Dominican team started with a good game attitude and made a 5-0 rally against China, with attacks from Gaila González and Brayelin Martínez. The Dominicans also improved their defense and blocking. But China reacted and managed to tie the set at 6-6 with attacks from Wu M.J and Zhuang Y.S. The Asians made two rallies, one of 5-0 and another of 3-0, which greatly affected their rivals, despite the great resistance they gave them, especially the reservists Massiel Matos and Alondra Tapia, who had a very productive second set. The Chinese had to work hard to win the games 25-21. In the third game, China returned to form with good blocks, tough defense, and left the Dominican Republic with only 17 points. Once again, Massiel Matos and Alondra Tapia put a lot of pressure on the winners with strong spikes and powerful serves.
