Santo Domingo. The Dominican Football Federation (FEDOFUTBOL) informs that forward Edison Azcona has been released from the concentration of the National Team in the current Concacaf Gold Cup 2025, due to a muscle injury in his left leg.

During the afternoon training on Tuesday, June 17, Azcona suffered an episode of acute pain in the proximal region of the left quadriceps after an acceleration and deceleration action. The medical team's report details:Consequently, Edison will immediately return to his club to begin the rehabilitation and physiotherapy protocol under the supervision of his doctors. FEDOFUTBOL and the coaching staff wish him a speedy recovery and will be in permanent contact with the player and his medical team to assess his progress.
