Madrid. – Real Madrid CF's Brazilian forward, Rodrygo Goes, will have to stay away from the playing fields for approximately ten days after being diagnosed with tendinosis in the hamstring muscle of his right leg.
The medical report issued by the white club confirmed that the player underwent tests by the team's Medical Services, which detected the ailment after the striker presented persistent discomfort that prevented him from training normally in the last sessions.
Aims to reappear against Osasuna
According to sources close to the club, the goal is for Rodrygo to be available for the league match on February 21 against CA Osasuna. The Brazilian will also not be able to participate in the first leg of the 'playoff' prior to the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, scheduled for February 17, due to a disciplinary suspension.
The attacker was sent off in the 96th minute of the last European match against SL Benfica in Lisbon, following a decision by Italian referee Davide Massa. Subsequently, the UEFA Ethics, Control and Disciplinary Committee imposed a two-match ban for unsportsmanlike conduct towards the referee.
Second physical setback of the year
This is the second physical incident Rodrygo has suffered in 2026. After the Spanish Super Cup final against FC Barcelona, in which the Madrid team lost 3-2, the forward was also absent for several matches due to physical discomfort.
In recent matches, the Brazilian has barely played any minutes, with limited appearances against Benfica and Rayo Vallecano.
The Real Madrid technical staff will closely monitor his progress with specific recovery sessions, hoping to have one of their key offensive players again in the decisive stretch of the calendar.
