TJ Watt is currently at a local hospital for a medical evaluation of his lung after experiencing discomfort at the training facilities. Coach Mike Tomlin will offer more details in due course,” the franchise said in a statement. Watt, 31, has been one of the pillars of Pittsburgh's defense since his arrival in the first round of the 2017 Draft. Since his rookie season, the linebacker from Pewaukee, Wisconsin, has accumulated seven Pro Bowl selections and four All-Pro designations. The player shares with Michael Strahan the record for most sacks in a season, with 22.5, solidifying himself as one of the most dominant defensive players in the NFL.
This season he has 53 tackles and seven sacks in 13 games.

His participation against Miami is uncertain

The team announced that Watt will be absent from training while he continues under medical observation, which casts doubt on his presence for next Monday night's game, in which the Steelers will host the Miami Dolphins.

A Career Marked by Productivity

Over nine seasons in the NFL, Watt has recorded 515 tackles, 115 sacks, 36 forced fumbles, 14 recoveries, eight interceptions, 56 passes defended, and one defensive touchdown in 134 games. In addition to the shared record for sacks in a season, he also holds the record for most seasons leading the league in sacks (3) and is the only player to achieve this in consecutive years.
