CONSTANZA. – La Patrulla del Monte celebrated with resounding success, last weekend, the sixth edition of the rally “El Triángulo”, an event that brought together more than 500 competitors and left a significant impact on tourism and the economy of the northern region of the country.

The activity began in Santo Domingo, with a first stage that culminated in Santiago, where the participants made a stop at the Second Brigade of the National Army. The next day, the rally continued its route from Santiago to Constanza, crossing the Valle Nuevo National Park, one of the most emblematic sections of the route. The organizers highlighted that Valle Nuevo had not been crossed in the last six years due to an environmental resolution. However, thanks to the authorization of the Ministry of Environment, headed by Paino Henríquez, it was possible to complete the tour, strictly complying with all the established norms and regulations for the protection of the area. The 2026 edition of the "El Triángulo" Rally set a participation record, solidifying itself as one of the most attended events of its kind in the country. According to the organizers, the activity generated a positive economic impact in Constanza and surrounding areas, evidenced by the total occupancy of hotel rooms during the weekend. The event closed with a grand celebration at the Hotel Nueva Suiza, in Constanza, enlivened by the popular artists Omega and Secreto, putting the finishing touch to a day full of adrenaline, organization, and fellowship. The rally was supported by the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Environment, the National Army, the National Police, the Digesett and Politur, as well as with the support of the mayor's office, the governor's office, deputies and other representative sectors of Constanza.
