Monarchs 2015 win the XIV softball tournament of Academic Officers of the Armed Forces and the National Police

SANTO DOMINGO. – The Monarchs-2015 swept the Immortals 2003 in two games to be crowned champion of the XIV softball tournament of Academic Officers of the Armed Forces and the National Police.

With a score of 10-3, the Monarchs won the first game in the match held at the Hipólito Ureña stadium of the Dominican Air Force. The victory went to Eudalys Pérez and Pérez and Julio Rodríguez lost. Pérez and Pérez in 6.0 innings allowed three runs, seven hits, one home run, two strikeouts and two walks. Carlos Ramírez with a home run and a single; Pedro Bidó with a home run; Yabel Blando and Junior Medina, a double each; with a single Melvin Quezada and Franklin Díaz, stood out at bat for the winners. The winners' offensive was led by Carlos Ramírez, 3-3, three runs scored and six RBIs, a triple and two home runs; Raumely Ozuna, three singles; Junior Medina, home run and single; and José Colón, a pair of singles.

Inspector General of the Ministry of Defense; Jorge Iván Camino Pérez, ERD., General Commander of the Dominican Republic Army, Vice Admiral Juan B. Crisóstomo Martínez, ARD, General Commander of the Navy; and of Floreal t. Suárez Martínez, pilot-FARD., General Commander of the Dominican Republic Air Force.

"Those supports guaranteed that today we are delivering these trophies, won on the field by you, soldier-athletes, who competed and shared in each of the meetings scheduled by Lisoa, meetings where, in addition to the celebration for the triumph at the end of each day, the brotherhood and fellowship between soldier friends was always present," said Colonel Batista.
