LE LIORAN, France. The Slovenian Tadej Pogacar once again demonstrated why he is the great favorite for the title by winning this Tuesday in the tenth stage of the 2026 Tour de France, further consolidating his lead in the general classification with a new display of power in the mountains.

The UAE Team Emirates cyclist launched a decisive attack on the climb to the Col de Pertus, about 32 kilometers from the finish, leaving his main rivals behind and crossing the finish line solo at the Le Lioran station, in the Massif Central.
With this victory, his third in the current edition and the 23rd of his career in the Tour, Pogacar took another step toward his goal of winning his fifth title in the French race.
The Belgian Remco Evenepoel finished in second place, 32 seconds behind the winner, while the Frenchman Paul Seixas and the German Florian Lipowitz arrived 34 seconds later. The Spaniard Juan Ayuso crossed the finish line 38 seconds behind, alongside the Dane Mattias Skjelmose.
The Dane Jonas Vingegaard, Pogacar’s main rival in the fight for the yellow jersey, finished seventh at 44 seconds after taking on much of the pursuit of the leader during the final stretch of the stage.
In the general classification, Pogacar extended his lead and now leads by 3 minutes and 36 seconds over Vingegaard. Evenepoel climbed to third place, at 4:06, followed by Juan Ayuso, fourth at 4:22, very close to the podium zone.

The young Frenchman Paul Seixas occupies the fifth position, followed by Florian Lipowitz. For his part, the Mexican Isaac del Toro, who began the day in fourth place overall, dropped to seventh place after losing time in the mountains.
Rounding out the Top 10 are the Dane Mattias Skjelmose, the Frenchman Lenny Martínez, and the Briton Tom Pidcock, who lost ground after suffering a crash during the descent of the Puy Mary.
With a new display of strength in the high mountains, Pogacar reaffirms his dominance in the race and emerges as the main candidate to wear yellow until the end of the 2026 Tour de France.
