Boston – Carolina Mejía was recognized during the
Dominicanísimo Awards, receiving the Excellence in Merit Gran Dominicanísimo 2025 statuette.
“Thank you for this opportunity, thank you for this surprise. What a great honor, I will always carry it with great pride as I feel when saying that I am Dominican. May God bless you!”, said Mejía upon receiving the award.

By defining the night of the awards ceremony as special, Carolina considered it an honor to be able to participate in Premios Dominicanísimo alongside so many Dominicans who bring the Dominican Republic to prominence.
During the gala held at the Omni Seaport Hotel, the mayor of the National District shared the stage with former baseball player David Ortiz, tourism entrepreneur Frank Elías Rainieri, and journalist Alicia Ortega, who were also recognized.
Dominicanísimo Awards recognizes the contribution of the Dominican community in the United States, being a platform that strengthens with each edition.
Another recognition
Prior to the Dominicanísimo Awards gala, Carolina also received a proclamation from the Mayor’s Office of Lawrence, in the state of Massachusetts, from her counterpart, Mayor Brian DePeña.
Mejía was one of the 26 personalities who were recognized by the mayor for their service record in different areas of public life.
In that scenario, Brian DePeña highlighted the positioning of Dominicans in that American city, emphasizing their work ethic and their connection to the land that saw them born.
United States Tour
The municipal executive completed an agenda in several US cities such as Boston, New York, and New Jersey, where she reaffirmed her bond with the diaspora and recognized the importance of Dominicans living outside the country.
As a public servant and secretary general of the Modern Revolutionary Party, Carolina has reiterated her connection with the Dominican talent that represents the Dominican Republic in other latitudes, recognizing their economic and cultural contributions.
