Bogotá, Colombia.- The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, inaugurated the Dominican stand at the tourism fair La Vitrina de ANATO, which began this Wednesday in Bogotá, Colombia and will run until Friday.
Accompanied by businessmen, bankers, diplomats and other sector actors, Minister Collado cut the ribbon, after assuring that he will continue making his greatest effort to ensure that more Colombian tourists continue choosing the Dominican Republic as their favorite vacation destination.

He informed that last year the Dominican Republic received 400,936 Colombian tourists, which represented a growth of 19% compared to 2024. "That contribution makes Colombia the fourth-largest source of tourists to our beautiful Dominican Republic", said Collado He assured that the ANATO Tourism Showcase, which is reaching its 45th edition, has become an ideal platform to promote the Dominican Republic and maintain the sustained growth of Colombian tourists to Quisqueya. In this first day of the fair, Minister Collado has scheduled dozens of meetings with different actors in the sector. Each of the 46 exhibitors also has a busy work schedule. Prior to all this, Minister Collado held a roadshow on Tuesday night, where he presented the best of the Dominican Republic in Colombia to 1,300 travel agents and tour operators as part of his strategy to attract more tourists to that Caribbean country, which only last year received 11.6 million visitors. In that presentation, the Dominican Minister of Tourism also showcased the new hotel brands, the new tourist destinations, and the improvements to the beaches and their access. He described Colombia as a special country for the Dominican Republic, as it is the fourth country issuing tourists to Quisqueya.
