As part of its work plan, it announced the creation of Thematic Committees in key areas such as: hotels, investments, governance, infrastructure, restaurants and bars, security, health, communication, travel agencies, tour operators, legal affairs and community relations. In addition, programs such as ‘Leaders Training Leaders’, ‘Turizoneando’, the Public-Private Working Tables, the Integral Tourist Security Table and ‘Hosts in Santo Domingo’ will be strengthened. The president of the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster highlighted the support of his wife Theresa and his children, to whom he says he owes the commitment to work with integrity and vision. Likewise, he added that he must give back with action everything that this country has given him during these 27 years. The Santo Domingo Tourist Cluster is a non-profit organization based on a public-private partnership. The Ministries of Tourism, Culture and Environment actively participate in this alliance; the Mayor’s Office of the National District and the Commonwealth of Greater Santo Domingo; universities; companies, associations and guilds of the value chain of the tourism sector of Greater Santo Domingo.
