They announce the concert “Al Ritmo de la Bahía”, a welcome to the whales

Samaná.- The Samaná Tourist Cluster (CTS), the Association of Hotels and Tourism Companies of Samaná (AHETSA) announced the welcome concert for humpback whales called "To the Rhythm of the Bay", on February 14th at the Marina of Puerto Bahía Samaná at 6:00 PM, with the stellar participation of Maridalia Hernández, Adalgisa Pantaleón, Roger Zayas and Frank Ceara, under the musical direction of maestro Pengbian Sang, with a magnificent orchestra made up of virtuoso musicians and a first-class choir.

This event is an initiative conceived to establish itself as an emblematic activity to warmly welcome the humpback whales of the North Atlantic, which arrive from places as distant and cold as Greenland and Iceland, and come to spend the winter in the warm marine sanctuary of Samaná Bay between January 15 and March 31.

This was reported by the president of the Samaná Tourist Cluster, Javier Lara Reinhold, who explained that the objective of "To the Rhythm of the Bay" is to strengthen the positioning of the beautiful destination of Samaná and especially celebrate the invaluable natural treasure that represents the annual visit of humpback whales to this beautiful bay.

"This concert is a key piece of our institutional strategy to promote the destination, by integrating the cultural and musical richness, the best of our gastronomy and framing it all in the majesty of the landscapes that distinguish Samaná," he highlighted.

In their understanding, this is how they celebrate the whale season, with an annual event that marks the country, which promotes sustainable development and highlights the unique essence of this tourist destination.

On his side, the president of AHETSA, Abelardo Melgen, stated that, with this event, the Samaná Tourist Cluster and the Hotel Association are initiating a series of activities and strategic actions aimed at fostering, strengthening, and promoting the Samaná destination, highlighting it as a unique, special, diverse, and privileged place for its extraordinary richness and natural beauty. "This initiative marks the beginning of a joint effort to project the peninsula to the world, inviting people to discover and value the multiple beauties, experiences, and attractions that Samaná has to offer," he said. Mr. Melgen emphasized that this is the best reason to pay tribute to humpback whales, who give us the privilege on the island of visiting us year after year. "We are very excited about what this event will be, within the framework of actions planned for the promotion and development of the destination." It is important to note that "To the Rhythm of the Bay" will be an unforgettable evening that will witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in the region, while those present will taste a variety of dishes courtesy of the most recognized restaurants on the peninsula while they enjoy beautiful melodies performed by renowned artists.
