Bogotá, Colombia. – On the eve of the opening of the 45th edition of ANATO, which is held from this Wednesday to Friday, Collado led a massive roadshow at the Ágora Convention Center in Bogotá, where he highlighted the main attractions of the Dominican Republic before a full house audience.
During the presentation, the minister showcased the diversity of the country's destinations, new hotel brands, emerging tourism projects, as well as the improvements made to beaches and access. He emphasized that the Dominican Republic offers not only destinations, but also memorable experiences.
The official described Colombia as a priority market, highlighting that it is the fourth country issuing tourists to Quisqueya. He reported that in 2024 the Dominican Republic received 400,936 Colombian tourists, which represented a growth of 19% compared to the previous year."We don't sell a country, we invite you to live an unparalleled, truly unforgettable experience," Collado expressed to the representatives of the sector.

Likewise, he indicated that only in January of this year the country received 7,831 Colombian visitors, for an increase of 27% compared to the same month of the previous year.The initiative is part of the Ministry of Tourism's international strategy to maintain the dynamism of the sector, after the Dominican Republic closed last year with a historic figure of 11.6 million visitors."Today we are here, in this roadshow, to invite you to continue promoting our beautiful country, but also to thank you, since thanks to you we have the privilege of receiving more visitors than our population," said the minister, while reaffirming the commitment to continue strengthening the Dominican presence in the Colombian market.
