Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) raised this Saturday to ten the provinces on green alert due to the rains affecting part of the Dominican territory and which are caused by a trough and the approach of a frontal system.
The measure was adopted for Puerto Plata, Espaillat, Hermanas Mirabal, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, Samaná, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, San Pedro de Macorís and La Altagracia.
The COE advised people to refrain from crossing rivers, streams, and ravines that present high volumes of water and not to use spas in the provinces under alert.
