SANTO DOMINGO.– In the weather forecast, according to the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), this Tuesday, June 17, 2025, atmospheric instability conditions will occur in a large part of the country, due to the effects of a trough at high levels and the humidity carried by the wind.
During the morning and midday, weak to moderate rains are expected, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and possible wind gusts, over provinces such as Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, San Cristóbal, Santo Domingo and Monte Plata. In the afternoon, these conditions will extend towards Monseñor Nouel, San Juan and Elías Piña, while for the night a partly cloudy sky is expected with little chance of rain in most of the national territory.Local Conditions:
- National District: partly cloudy skies with isolated showers in the early morning.
- Santo Domingo North, East and West: similar conditions, with increased cloudiness and possible light rain during the first hours of the day.
Temperatures:
- Minimums: between 21 °C and 23 °C
- Maximums: between 32 °C and 34 °C
A high thermal sensation will be maintained, especially in urban and coastal areas, so it is recommended to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during midday.
