Puerto Plata.– President Luis Abinader and the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, inaugurated two important works in the head municipality of San Felipe de Puerto Plata: the reconstruction of sidewalks and curbs in the Historic Center and the new building that will house the branch of
ADOMPRETUR next to the Tourism Museum.
The interventions, which total an investment of more than RD$115 million, are part of the plan to revitalize the city's urban center and promote tourism in the province.

The reconstruction of sidewalks and curbs cost RD$79,855,074 and covered 11 streets in the urban area, with the construction of 9,436 linear meters of curb and 13,497 square meters of sidewalks, in addition to the reconditioning of the road surface, 2,273 square meters of asphalt and the construction of universal access ramps. Among the intervened roads are Antigua Vía Férrea, Restauración, San Felipe, 30 de Marzo, Aserradero, Los Jazmines, El Morro and 27 de Febrero.
Meanwhile, the ADOMPRETUR-Puerto Plata building, which will also house the Tourism Museum, was built with an investment of RD$35,485,629. The work consists of two levels: the museum will operate on the first floor, with access ramps, bathrooms and a warehouse; and the offices of the Dominican Association of Tourism Press branch will be on the second floor, with reception areas, a multipurpose room, offices, a dining room and bathrooms.
