Santo Domingo.– The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, celebrates his 59th birthday this Sunday, a date that has been accompanied by congratulatory messages from officials, political leaders, and citizens, who have expressed their best wishes through social media.
On the occasion of the celebration, the Presidency of the Republic published a photograph of the president’s childhood along with the message: “Every great journey begins small”. The post also included a congratulatory note wishing him health, peace, and strength to continue performing his duties at the head of the State.
Abinader was born on July 12, 1967. He is the son of businessman and former political leader José Rafael Abinader Wasaf and Rosa Sula Corona. He assumed the Presidency of the Republic on August 16, 2020, and, after emerging victorious in the 2024 elections, he began a second term in office.
